I recently joined a “zoo animal flat-doll trade” on one of the fiber art Yahoo groups I belong to. I chose flamingos. They’re just so…pink! Legs and beaks are Ultrasuede.

My latest trade
project is for the Yahoo group Art4Mail. Flat dolls are just what they sound like: they’re flat – like paper dolls – except these are made of fabric. I used faux suede for the eyes, noses, ears, and stripes.
Here’s a closer look at one of the Kitty Kat Flat Dolls I just finished.

Recently I participated in the “Sheep!” Fiber Postcard Trade through the Yahoo group artsnthemail. Needless to say, I made sheep of a different color!

Another Yahoo Trade Group Project – this one for fiber landscape postcards. They go out in the mail tomorrow. I like this one best.

One of the latest trades in one of the fiber art Yahoo groups I’m in was for “Autumn” themed bookmarks. This was a fun project for me. Autumn is my favorite season, and I love the colors. Here’s one of my bookmarks:

Here is the whole set of fabric postcards I will be putting in the mail tomorrow!
This past weekend – a lovely FOUR DAYS – I finished the fabric postcards for one of the Yahoo Groups I belong to. Participants picked a word from a long list of possibilities – I chose “dragon” – and made four fabric postcards for that word. Yes, they can be mailed with a stamp, just like a “regular” postcard. I will send one each to four other people in the group and will receive four different postcards from the other participants – each expressing his/her word of choice. My cards are going to England, Australia, and South Carolina! Here is a close-up of one of them!
Just finished my contribution to the Fiber Art Traders Triptych Postcard Trade. The theme was “Your Vision of Home.” Mine is called “Cat House” because “Home is Where the Cat Is.”
And this is how it looks inside:
